Text Messaging Terms
This page explains Handled's text messaging program: how you opt in, what we send, what it costs, and how to stop. Giving us your mobile number is always optional and is never a condition of any purchase.

How you opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number on a Handled web form and agreeing to receive texts. This happens in two places on our site, both at carcaredelivered.com/schedule: the booking form, where you enter your mobile number to schedule a pickup, and the returning-customer lookup, where you enter your mobile number to receive a one-time code that verifies an existing appointment.
At each of these points, directly beside the mobile-number field, we show the consent language below before you submit. Providing your number and agreeing to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of booking or of any purchase.
The consent language we show
"By giving us your mobile number, you agree to receive service texts from Handled — a one-time verification code and your pickup confirmation. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase."
What we'll send you
Handled sends two kinds of text messages. First, a one-time verification code when you look up an existing appointment by phone, so we can confirm it's you. Second, transactional updates about a pickup you booked — your confirmation and status updates as we pick up, service, and return your car.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program. If you separately ask us to, we may also send occasional service reminders — and you can stop those the same way, by replying STOP.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies and depends on your activity — for example, requesting a verification code or having a pickup in progress. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Handled does not charge you for text messages.
How to opt out or get help
You can reply STOP to any Handled text at any time to opt out and stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below. If you opt out, we may send a single message confirming that you've been unsubscribed.
How we protect your number
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in information is never shared with anyone for marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, linked below.
